Connect to Visiting Technologists and Executives (VTE)

The intent of the Visiting Technologists and Executives (VTE) program is to expose students to the journeys of outstanding people in microelectronics (with an emphasis on radiation-hardening) to better prepare them for a career in this field. Accomplished and successful technologists and executives will talk to the students about their background and experiences, impart knowledge and advice on navigating in the workplace and college experience, and give students a better understanding of the opportunities and types of work available in a microelectronics career. The talks will be comprised of a presentation followed by Q&A period. Subjects will be suggested to the speakers but the topics will be of the speakers' choosing.

Speakers

Speakers will present at one of the participating HBCU campuses except for the summer talk, which will occur at Purdue University’s West Lafayette, Indiana campus. A bio of the speaker and the topic will be publicized so the students can submit questions up to two weeks prior to the talk using a provided form.

Schedule

Talks will occur twice during each semester and once during the summer, with the first one held in February 2024. The times will be such that they won’t interfere with classes, midterms/finals and other major activities. The schedule is outlined below and will be updated as locations and speakers become finalized.
